Replica of Blue rooster statue

About the project

For SENS real estate to execute this beautiful project, a replica of the statue "The Blue Rooster" was allowed to make.

The original, wood-carved sculpture was in very poor condition and was delivered to me in pieces. Due to poor maintenance, the wood was completely rotten and was only just stuck together. This bad wood had to be bonded together again by impregnating the rotten wood with a synthetic resin.

After impregnation, the restoration of the wooden cockerel could begin. When the strengthening and repairing of the missing parts was completed, the painting of the sculpture could be restored. The original wooden rooster was later exhibited in the headquarters of SENS real estate and the replica of the sculpture was placed outside on the facade of a new construction project. This construction project was realized in the old warehouse where the wooden rooster first graced the facade.

After painting the restored sculpture, it was 3D scanned and printed out in a resin. This resin print of the rooster was later reinforced on the inside with PU foam and epoxy and painted with a durable 2-component coating. This created an indistinguishable replica of the statue that can adorn the facade for decades to come.

Do you also have a sculpture that is in need of restoration or can I help you make replicas of your sculptures?
