Food mold Kids tv-program
About the project
For the TV show Kinderen voor Kinderen Reszto made a food-safe mold out of plastic. This time not made from silicone rubber, but from several parts of hard plastic .
Using a CNC router, we extracted various shapes from the HMPE to create a printing mold for a giant candy. The logo of Kinderen voor Kinderen measuring 60 x 60 cm!
A candy was made in the program by pressing various colors of confectionery into the mold.
The most suitable material for this food safe mold was HMPE 500, this is widely used in the food industry and is certified "food grade". The printing mold could be taken apart in several parts so that it could be easily removed from the model.
